The Daily Mahjong Board: One Puzzle a Day, No Streaks to Protect
The Daily Mahjong board is a single Mahjong Solitaire layout that changes once a day, built from the date itself rather than pulled from a server, so every player who opens the game that day sees the exact same board.
What Is the Daily Mahjong Board?
Each day, Friends at Mahjong Solitaire offers one Daily board — the same deal for everyone who plays that day. Because the board is generated from the date, nobody is getting an easier or harder version, and nobody is keeping score behind the scenes.
No Streaks, No Penalties
Miss a day and nothing resets. There's no streak to protect, nothing to buy back, and no warning nagging you that you're about to lose something. If you played Monday, skipped Tuesday, and come back Wednesday, you just play Wednesday's board — that's the whole system.
That design matters for the kind of player this board is built for: someone looking for a relaxing puzzle break without daily check-ins to avoid a penalty.
Every Deal Is Checked Before It Reaches You
Like every board in the game, the Daily board is checked for solvability before it's handed to a player — the goal is that a board doesn't become unplayable because of an unlucky shuffle. That check applies the same way to the Daily board as it does everywhere else in the game.
Where the Daily Board Fits
The Daily board is part of the free tier: no download, no sign-up required to start, and no advertisements. You can play it directly in your browser at mahjonggsolitaire.app. A free account lets you keep your progress across sessions once you're ready for one, but it isn't required to play a Daily board today.
Who the Daily Board Is For
If you want a Mahjong Solitaire break with no streak math, no fear of losing a bonus, and no pressure to log in tomorrow, the Daily board is built around exactly that. It's also a low-stakes way to get familiar with the real 144-tile Mahjong set (Bams, Craks, Dots, Winds, Dragons, and Flowers), without committing to a full Journey level.
